Blasting

For over 35 years, YYK Enterprises, Inc. has performed surface preparation for both new coating solutions and degraded substrate repair. Using a variety of media such as:

YYK conducts blasting under SSPC standards:

DRY DOCKING

YYK has dry docked and undocked multiple LCS class vessels in the NBSD dock to include Dock Master (NAVSEA certified), cutting and placing all required blocks to meet the docking position requirements IAW required specifications and reference drawings. YYK capabilities also include all line handling and tug boat requirements based on vessel tonnage.

NON-SKID

YYK has performed non-skid coatings in multiple areas using various types of slip resistant coverings.  For example:

• Non skid
• Peel n stick
• Broadcasting

YYK has applied these slip resistant coverings to the following areas:

• VLS launching areas
• Flight decks
• Hangar bays
• Masts
• Submarine exterior hull
• Various exterior decks.

PAINTING

YYK has coated well over 5 million gallons of paint in its history. We have become extremely proficient in applying many types of coatings including:

• MARAD and Mill Spec Coatings
• Enamels
• 1, 2 and 3-part epoxies
• Coal tar epoxies
• Epoxy hybrids
• Polyurethanes
• Urethanes
• Organic and inorganic zincs
